School is really hard for me. It takes me much longer to finish work than other people. I dont know if thats because they put anything down just to get it over with or because im just not as smart as them. Homework is usually really hard for me too. But if I pay attention, ill do good on the homework. I dont know if I have some sort of learning dissability or if I am just being lazy sometimes. My aunt has pointed out several times that I have a hard time paying attention. I dont know if shes right though because shes always telling me everything thats wrong with me. My grandpa has suggested I should take some tests at school or something. I really dont know what to do...I dont want to take any tests or even consider the fa ct of being in special ed because its so embarassing...idk what to think. what do you think? Also, ive never failed agrade and ive been attending classes for normal kids all my life...

You should see someone to diagnose you or something.

you sound normal. paying attention is hard when stuff is boring.

If you're asking this question, I think you don't need to be in special ed.

It doesn't hurt to get tested, and then you can make your decision. If you are coping reasonably well in "normal" classes, it's unlikely that anyone will force you to take Special Ed. You could have a "disability" that is very mild and you've dealt with it well, and therefore you don't need Special Ed.

Or it could be that you don't have any disability.

If you're wondering, just find out anyway. It doesn't have to change anything for the worse if you want to keep taking normal classes.

It sounds to me that you're just not focused, and are lazy.
I suggest talking with teachers on how THEY suppose you get your grade up, and focus.  Just, keep yourself very narrow minded and focused in class, and do your homework.  If you don't understand your homework, take it to the teacher before class even starts, and tell them you don't understand it and would like help.  Talking to your teacher builds and understanding, and will get you some inside edge on what they think is best for you.
Study very hard for tests.  Each time you study, it should be the hardest you've ever studied for a test.  Find a friend who is doing well in that class, and ask them to study with you, or stay after class and study with the teacher.

If school is difficult, but you get by, regardless of if you have all A's or not, you're fine.

If you have a short attention span, so the fuck what, that doesn't qualify you for special education. If it's possible for you to complete school normally, do it, you'll get into university easier and you won't have to face humiliation for no good reason.

I really think that if you were a special needs child, they'd have identified you as one by now, and I think that you're clearly above the mental capacity required to graduate high school.

Just give it your best effort, force yourself to pay attention, pretend shit is interesting even if it's not, ask other students to help you, let your teachers know you're strugglin with the material. If you actually start failing classes despite taking my advice, then and only then should you consider requesting to be in special education.

Talk to your parents about this.

Talk to your school counselor..... At my school there is a "slow" student class. Kids in this class still talk regular class but there is a hour where they get extra help. Maybe you should be in this class but ur school might not have it

you could have special ed but then it might just be a case of u nt putting in enough effort have a word with you techers at school and ask them what they think. Also try to concentrate at school more and put a little more effort it and see if that help if none of this helps talk to your parents and maybe make an appointment with your doctor who can then refere to the nessacrly people if he feels that there is a promblem. You could als try talking to your school counsallo about and see if they have any sugestions
