It means that you believe in a higher power but you don't believe that absolute knowledge of it is impossible. Most recognise that there is a chance that their higher power doesn't exist, but they believe that there's more of a chance that it does. I wouldn't say that they don't follow an organised religion, what with Discordianism (let's just call it organised for the sake of things XD) and UU welcoming people of all beliefs (re a higher power anyway), along with some Quaker congregations. -- Posted by Wilder at 8:53 pm on Nov. 2, 2008 That would be non-religious theism; there is absolutely nothing to suggest that such a person is agnostic.
