In the case of sleeping with your girlfriend's sister, maybe you should just come out with the truth before her sister beats you to it. Otherwise, lie. You know you want to.

I take it as a sign of maturity to be able to weigh the issues at hand and decide on a case-by-case basis whether lying is the right thing to do. If it's someone you love and should trust, then it is usually easier to tell the truth. But all things have to be considered.
