have a sleep-over kind of thing with just the two of you, or your mates? or is that not cool enough? haha get her a present? I've never been in the situation... One of my old friends was 'depressed', turns out she was just after attention.

Next time when she gets involved in a relationship, be more cautious, I guess. You never know who you might meet, but then again, don't avoid relationships simply because you are afraid you might get hurt. As for now, if shopping doesn't get her distracted, maybe she doesn't feel like going outdoors for a while. In that case you guys can just stay in her room and just talk. After a while when she is able to walk around with a smile again, bring her shopping, ice-skating, whatever, whatever.

Exactly. When she's up to it, take her out and see what happens. Who knows, she might just get luck and meet a nice guy.

It's not about luck. It's about initiation and to dare to risk. But tell Emma, if she's strong enough to get over three guys in this manner, she will be strong enough to continue. Don't lose hope.

Tell her that being depressed doesn't solve it - she should be smart enough to stay out of the way of junkies and lovelaces...

Sometimes people have bad luck in relationships, but she's still young, as we get older relationships get easier and people grow up, mature within themselves. Relationships are never going to be easy, and she needs to learn that to be happy, she doesn't need to be in a relationship to be happy, there is more to life than love. There isn't much you can do to help her but remind her that you're her friend, and you are there for her no matter what, and you won't give up on her. Try finding a hobby to take her mind off relationships, or help her making some more new friends, you never know she could find someone that way who she's happy with, it can happen anytime. Perhaps you could get her to talk to an adult about her feeling depressed and unhappy, they could help her get over this feeling, it can't hurt to try. I hope she feels better soon!
