I know that jobs are very little in this area.  I would love to own my own indie studio some day. The chances of making a good career out of sound engineering arn't great. I like the course that I'm doing but I would prefere sound engineering? What would you do if you were in my situation? become a teacher make studio on off time and full time in summer. all positives, hell, some kids in whatever school you're in might be looking to pay to record too.
