In the U.S, a lot of East Indians look really put together/posh and project an air of confidence, even though the US media doesn't represent their people that much. Why is this so?

It's the US. No one is worth anything except white people.

Not really. East Asians are represented as the 'smartest' Americans - though the geniuses of the USA are overepresented as Whites (and Jews too). Jews tend to be the smartest average people - and also the most likely to be geniuses.

they'll be famous if they deserve it. to say anyone is put on a pedestal or oppressed is just using excuses.

1. Those that just moved in keep their culture from home where there they usually thought as the top guys. They usually engineers or doctors with good degrees. They come in with money from their family and don't usually have to feel inferior to other ppl. 2. The second gen is actually starting to feel the putdown from society and from school but their parents help them push ahead and not worry. 3. Being an engineer is SO needed right now that ppl don't really care what race you are so you can succeed anyway. Thats why I want to go into that.
