before you say to... I looked in the poetry writing guidelines. I want to write a love poem for my girlfriend. Im planning on calling her when she's at work, and leaving it on her voicemail, for her to find when she's on her break. Here's the thing... 1) im not good at expressing my feelings... 2) im horrible at writing poetry. Can anyone give me advice on writing a love poem?

It doesn't have to rhyme, just write down the words she makes you feel, and have a theasaurus at hand to convert those words into something more descriptive.

maybe find a good love poem and say you thought of her when you first read it? Personally, I get really sad when bad poetry is written, but it's also adorable so whatever you'd rather do. I'll help edit something if you post it up.

I'm sorry, but those two things are kinda the whole idea of poetry... not much I can do, except write it for you, which I won't do. ...could you try something else, maybe?
