A wide angel lens would be a 28 mm?? That's right- 50 to 55 mm lenses for 35mm cameras were the "normal" view and 24-35 mm lenses were wide angle. 135mm and up would be the common telephoto lens. Personally I always wanted to get a good macro lens for my Pentax Spotmatic but couldn't afford one. -- Posted by virtuoso at 9:42 am on Nov. 7, 2008 My teacher told me that old Russian lenses would be the best for some reason.
