We've been talking over e-mail, but whenever we see each other in school we both sort of look away embarrassed. You're most likely both shy so neither of you wants to make the first move - that's natural. Just stop him in the hall and say "Hi". Sure, it might be awkward at first, but if you don't try talking to him, you'll never get anywhere.
