I ate way too much today and I have been struggling with an eating disorder for a while and I decided to try this trick I found online. It said to drink hot water with 2-4 tablespoons of salt and I decided to do it. WRONG IDEA. Im babysitting. It didnt work and I cant throw up. I have all of this salt in my body and I dont know what to do and I dont want to put the kids in any kind of danger if something happens to me. I feel horribly sick. Advice PLEASE SOON!

There isn't much you can do. It's only hot salt water. You shouldn't have done it while you were babysitting. Now you're going to have to suffer through it or call the parents and ask them to come home so you can leave.

Why would you try and make yourself throw up while babysitting? Irresponsible dolt.

hey calm down

I've eaten a whole bottle of salt before and it did make me throw up some stomach acid but I was fine... you'll be fine.

Well, that's KIND OF a salt water flush(which is 32 ounces of room temperature/warm water, two tablespoons of sea salt, so I don't know how well your version will do), but it's not suppose to make you poop...actually have diarrhea, flushing out your system kind of.

That's about 72 grams of salt, which is a lot and you may be in trouble. The lowest published oral lethal human dose for sodium chloride is 1000mg/kg which is 54.4g for a 120lb person. Don't panic, you'll probably be alright, but it might be a good idea to call poison control (1-800-222-1222).
