What do you guys think is the difference between talking, dating, hooking up, and being in a relationship?

I guess the actual answer. 
Talking is a way of conversing between two people. Dating is when you go out on dates with a man or women for a limited period of time. Hooking up is having a sexual encounter with someone but not usually leading into anything. A relationship is when you care about someone so much that you want to have the label of "boy friend and girlfriend".
