I have the chance to go to school in Paris for a year...but I don't speak a word of French. So, I'm scared as hell, and sort of...want to avoid it. I did something similar 6 years ago...I went to the states for 4 years without knowing a word of English and now you can't even hear my accent anymore, but now that I'm older...it seems scarier.

Are you likely to regret the chance passing you by? It seems you are good at languages, so you might pick it up easier than you think, or you could try and get some lessons in before you leave. I think that because you are even considering it, you would regret not going.

Just a couple of mistakes, but your French is that good already, I'm sure you'd pick it up in no time. Easily, I must add.

definetely go!! I dont care what people say about the french, they have the most beautiful language in the world, and anytime I have spent time in France everyone has always been so gracious and lovely to me,not snotty in the slighest. Most countries are obviously just jealous of france. You would be fluent within 6 months,& you could also travel to so many other european cities during your stay Living in the country is the only way to really learn the language!

Yeah! You should go! Other people will be with you, right?
