A digital SLR :)

Here come's the Nikon VS Canon war.. Someons going to say that Canon is better, the other saying Nikon is better...

Its about a 50:50 split of professionals using each!

I have a Nikon D60 with an 18-55mm and a 70-300mm lense... I preffer Nikon as i am used to them, although im not saying it is better!

One that has auto-focus.

For basic photography.. Auto-focus will not allow much control over the photos if you cannot use a manual focus aswell

Nikkon or Canon.

They're good. But the better you want it the more expensive it'll get.

I have a cannon 400D SLR and it has been absoultly nothing but value for money.. If your going SLR though make sure you get a good lens as well
