An Egyptian guy coming to the US isn't very high at the top of the list of those for them to let in. -- Posted by MaryLin at 4:29 pm on Nov. 22, 2008 Because he wants a work visa... and since he's from Egypt, they see him as a possible immigrant which is bad. They mostly give out visas if you can prove that you don't want to immigrate to the US. Why won't he apply for a tourist visa? It's not that hard. He has to prove that he only wants to go there temporarily - prove that he has a job in Egypt or that he is attending a school there and show his return plane ticket from the US back to Egypt, also he has to prove he has enough money for his stay and travel expenses. -- Posted by handsfree at 8:37 pm on Nov. 22, 2008 I hate to say this, but if he's muslim, egyptian, and happens to have a name similar to any recorded terrorist they will keep refusing him.
