Another dream about my ex I just woke from. What can I do to stop the dreams I'm supposed to give her space and these dreams make it hard. What can I do or am I a slave to my subconcious and dread falling asleep forever?

Do something completely distracting, something that will preoccupy your mind before you go to sleep. Then hopefully, your brain will have something else to play around with.

My suggestion? your subconscious makes you think in pictures while you dream. It sounds stupid... but when i dream about my ex or any other issue i am having thats relayed into my dream... when i wake up or something.. I literally talk to myself out loud. By talking to myself about the issue i kinda relieve my brain from its over-thinking. Ha.. it sounds weird when i tell someone else to try it.. BUT just talk to yourself about it (or some one else) outloud. By adressing your problem outloud, and with out lying you tend to get the stuff off your subconscious. *shrug* its worth a try right?
