I've been receiving phone calls at my home phone number from 800-866-2528 from different people at different extensions, claiming they have "urgent" information I need to know and need to respond ASAP. I've gotten them over the past month or so. I have not returned any of these phone calls as of yet. Apparently, it's an unlawful debt collection agency, and many other people are in the same spot I'm in, as can be seen here.

I was reading about, but really, just my luck, this wouldn't be likely in my case, about suing companies like this and getting money from it? Information for such that I've been reading can be seen from these websites...

Are any of these legit, and is it likely for me to make money off this, or not? I'm thinking no, but I just saw the opportunity and wanted to be sure before I just passed it up completely. But if so, how would I exactly go about this?

You can't sue someone for trying to get in touch with you... especially if you're in debt.  All that any judge will ever say is pay them off and that will shut them up.

Wrong. Being in debt does not change the laws.

It's illegal to kill someone... unless you're in debt.

Well, I don't know if that's true or not, but that isn't the situation, sorry if I didn't clarify.

I am not in debt, and judging from everyone else who is in my spot, they've all paid these things off years ago, and this company is just trying to collect information, and there has been reports (just by word, might not be true, but I wouldn't see why tons of people would be lying for no benefit to themself) of threats and abrasive language, which, indeed, is illegal, and the websites I've listed ensured could be taken action against.

Then again, I mean, if I could just use this stuff to make money, wouldn't everybody be doing this? That's why I'm sketchy, and wanted to ask about it.
