It is related to physical changes in the brain, and connected to an imbalance of a type of chemical that carries signals in your brain and nerves. These chemicals are called neurotransmitters." See, I copy pasted that from depression.com. Since I have a medical illness, it's best that I get a licensed medical professional to treat the problem. I am positive it's not ALWAYS related to chemicals though. Plenty of people get depressed for good reason. While people think that's the reason, it's just assigning blame for emotions that have no basis except in the brain. And it helps because it is right. Depression is a chemical imbalance in the brain.
