Yeah, basically. If you have ur instrument with you i'd play it for a little bit too...

Man, new reeds taste like poo but they play so nice!

oh, i play clarinet, and all i have to do is suck on em (ha..ha) and press it against the flat part of my mouthpiece to loosen it up. and i do that like RIGHT before i play, so it doesn't get stiff (haw, haw)

Hah I used to play bass clarinet.
Just suck on it for like 5 minutes straight. It should be wet and flexy so it wont chip or be difficult to play.
For some reason I rather enjoy the new taste of reeds..
