There are two applications I deal with: BU, and the common app. The common app has me write a 200 word essay on why I want to transfer. The BU app has me write a 2000 character essay (including spaces) on why I want to transfer. The essay I've already written for the common app has 1600 characters. The reason is because your writing style will have changed a little and you don't want to give them an old essay, it just usually wrks out better that way. And I literally JUST wrote the other one.
