Why is it that whenever I need to talk to people, all my friends are offline? I just feel so worthless. Nobody would honestly care if I died tonight, now would they? ...Didn't think so. I'll just drink away my problems like always.

People have really shitty empathy in general. They're also taught that depression and suicide are related to some kind of 'illness', rather than a natural reaction to terrible circumstances and that same lack of empathy. This is awful, but people who really understand and know what you're going through are going to be rare. I've been through four years of severe depression and many times coming close to suicide, and I know this. It doesn't matter how bad you get. Its just WAY too far out of most peoples' comfort zones. They get scared and do stupid shit in response, then justify their crap later even though it made things way worse. People would care if you died tonight, but they probably couldn't comprehend what you've been through, and just are insensitive, shallow idiots. Unfortunately, this is a fact of the era we live in now. I'm not going to tell you to "get over it" because it really fucking bothers me too, but it probably has very little to do with you. It's a universal thing.
