What if one day all your happiness, all your joy, your reason for living was taken away from you. Example- Your mom got hit by a bus, your dad commits suicide, and at the age of 33 you discover you have cancer that has been laying dorment in your body, doctors give you 1 painful year of life left. Say a doctor giving you a needle and a syringe and enough painkiller to allow you to kill yourself with an injection. Euthanasia is the ending of the patient's life, presumably by the doctor or someone else, without the active participation of the patient, eg) removal of life support (such as disconnecting a patient from a ventilator).
