Have you ever helped out someone who fainted or neary fainted?  Like by getting them water or by getting help, asking if they felt ok, etc,?

Please share the experience.

My friend was having a panic attack outside a theatre, and was breathing herself into passing out. So I grabbed her from behind, wrapped her arms into her chest (holding her tightly) and started whispering to her: "Follow my breathing. Slow down. It's ok." Over and over until her breathing slowed down and she turned around and hugged me.

She told me later that no one has ever gotten her out of one before.

okay, that is a weird question, but yes

In the army, in basic, my battle buddy fainted because she was a dumb ass and wouldnt drink enough water. Well I had to take off her top and her shoes, unbutton her shirt and pour water on her face. Then she gasp and I sat her up and she slowly drank some water. I has to sit and talk to her for a while. Then I took her temp, she was fine, so she got dressed and we went to sit in the shade.

No big.

yes, kinda, at the fraternity house we flooded the basement and were doing a slip and slide after a party (its a tradition at this party every year). One guy sliped and hit his head and he was out cold for a good 30 sec or so. i imediently pulled him away and sat him up and checked his pulse. by th time i did all this he came to and was ok, just a little loopy

Yeah, my sister used to get them when I was younger. One time we were in town and our Mum had popped to another shop and we were in the street. She randomly just fainted and hit the pavement, I was only young, but I crouched down beside her and tried helping. Luckily people ran over shouting, 'I'm a doctor, don't worry!'.

I helped out at a blood drive once. No one fainted, but a few thought they might. I walked some people over to the tables and let them use me for support and then I got them cookies and sandwiches.

Yeah. Most recently my roommate passed out in her room and hit her head pretty hard on her desk and on the floor.

I watched her vitals and what not, but we decided to call an ambulance because she hit it pretty hard. Everything ended up being fine with her head but they found she had an abnormal heart rhythm, kept her for 2-3 days to run tests.

Everything ended up fine, she just has an abnormal heart rhythm, but it's not life threatening or anything like that..that's not even what caused her to pass out. They assume it was just exhaustion/dehydration.
