A lot of URLs have more than 100 charaters in them and when I want to post a link I have to space it, which means the link seperates and is non-clickable. I'm not sure if I'm missing something or not. If I'm not, would it be possible to add more characters per line for a URL?

No, because a lot of members won't click them unless they can physically see where the link is taking them. And I know that Tiny URL gives you that option where you can see where you are being taken but still, people don't know that, thus don't click.
