Well, you can be original and not use idiotic names. My family name, for example, is rather out there - but it's traditional. The first born son is always named then, this his son is named that etc. etc. etc. Nobody I know has a name even close to it, but it's tradition, not some stupid made up name. My children are going to have NORMAL names. I seem to gravitate toward name that end in "n" - Ben, Colin, Evan, Jonathan, Jillian. All normal.
