The only time I really cried is when i hear that song bye bye mariah carey I loved the song before now... but now whenever i hear it I start crying like a baby... :( I wish I cried at the funeral I felt so... guilty that i didnt.. I feel bad because i moved to wa a few months before he passed with my bf... I came back for the funeral and everything but the last time i saw him was before i left... it makes me feel sick... i wanted to see him before he passed but never got around to it until it was to late... now i feel like a bitch :(

Some people just can't cry at funerals, often because they're so blocked out of their emotions, like a daze state, or trying to deny them so they can stay strong for other people. Don't feel like a bitch, you couldn't have anticipated this. I'm sorry about your grandpa.

It's ok, it happens. I think you experienced denial and now it's hitting you all at once. My aunts and uncles seem to be ok with their mother dying. I think they realize that she is just well old and that just the next stage in her life. But it easier for them since they are adults, but I am not sure about for you. You obviously young and you over anylze all of this. That where you get the guilty feeling from. You shouldn't I mean you went, I think you feel as if you didn't get to do enough with him while he was around. Now you start to feel guilty about things and that feeling is making you break down and cry and be depressed.

The doctors kept saying he only had a week left at one point and i was going to go see him asap then they said he was fine again so i was going to wait until the holidays... the morning he passed he was talking about going home (from the nursing home) for thanksgiving

So why do you feel guilty? Again, you were told that he was going to be fine, everyone thought so too, not just you I'm sure. You didn't do anything wrong here, you couldn't have known that would happen. Really, there is NO fault here on anyone's part, it just happened. DO NOT feel guilty for anything.

Aw I'm sorry. My grandpa is dying right now and I'm not sure if I'll be able to see him alive again either. I'm leaving Wednesday but he might be gone by then.

Because I love my grandfather to death and if he died I thought I would cry for days but that didn't happen... It just made me wonder why

Don't worry about not crying. It's normal to not cry at funerals, actually. Your grandfather wouldn't want you to cry and to be sad, would he? I'm sorry that you didn't get to see your grandfather before he passed away, but I'm sure he knew that you loved him. My grandmother is almost 70, and I'm so worried that she's going to pass away before I get to show her how much I love her. I don't know what I'm going to do when she does pass away, considering she's been here for me through everything I've ever gone through, for 17 years. I know how it must feel to actually be on the other side of that. It's always hard when someone you love passes away. You shouldn't feel like a bitch, for anything. It's not what he would want, you know? Just remember all the great times you had with him, and honor him when you can, that's all you can do. It will get better with time, though. If you ever need to talk, you can message me!
