this drawing isn't going to blow anyone away...
it's definitely still worth it to try to get into the program you want, but you might want to work on your technical skills, and send them something a little more refined.

Not that great in my opinion

It's disproportionate, unrealistic.

But the hair looks pretty good, I guess.

I'm sorry.. it's just not too good. Maybe you should do a grid drawing instead of trying to free-hand? Usually they are a lot easier to do for people who aren't very good a free-hand style.

Classes will only teach you certain ways to draw, not to actually draw. Drawing is more than lessons.. it's being able to draw your thoughts in a way. I'm going to college to become an art teacher, and I can safely say there is just no teaching certain people to draw. I'm not saying you're one of those people, I think you have serious potential.

You are really great at drawing. Try to get a major in it. You could become even better by learning more about what you are good at.

That, it's worth a shot, But it's not an amazing piece, and people are hard to draw but still. Maybe try taking some art classes?

I would start with something that is not a person. Drawing an object versus a figure is very different and so to judge your potential properly, I would draw something different.
