I was asking what pills you're talking about here... some meds, you have to be careful with what you drink and some meds you have to be careful about whether or not you eat. It's like chemistry class- you don't mix the wrong things together or bad things will happen. It's something you normally shouldn't mess with.

perscription pain medicines. I have cystic fibrosis to, so I need enzymes because my pancreas is borked. Does that effect how fast I metabolize pills to.

You can improve your digestive system by eating or drinking things high in fibre. Such as pulp, its thick and works out your system. Its like exercising for your stomach. :)

Oy... that's definitely something you should ask your doctor or at least your pharmacist about. A pharmacist may be able to help you out a little more about it (since they will know exactly what meds you're on and so forth).

I don't know much about this, but I read in the paper a while ago that taking painkillers or other meds with fruit juice (especially grapefruit) reduces the effect of the drug. Water was recommended as the best thing to take meds with.
