If you have a friend... in which complains to you out of no where and you dont even know why or for what reason.. yet you yourself knows you've done nothing wrong... to them or to anyone else... when the fight is done and the sides split.. do you think you should be entitled to apologizing even if you know you have nothing to hide. you know you have done nothing wrong. yet the other person is upset for their own thoughts and assumptions?

I would probably say that I'm sorry that's how they feel, and try to calm them down and be sympathetic since they are obviously an anxious mess. But I'd never say that I'm sorry for doing something that I'm not sorry about.
