Those who are point whores should be identified and there should be limit on how much they post, and if what they point is meaningless a whole bunch of points should be subtracted or they should go down in rank. They should be given 2 warnings after that, and if they do it again they should be banned from their IP address. I don't really think I'd be into penalizing people for having fun in the spammy section though, just in the support sections. It's also nice to have a record of these things on someone's profile (when we hide a post, it doesn't automatically say on the profile that we hide a post, and if we think it's just one instance sometimes people can get away with getting dozens of posts removed without us thinking it's an ongoing issue).
