So I'm a college freshman this year, and I started drinking since I went to college.
I do it in a responsible manner, and would never let it hinder my grades.
I know my parents would be very dissapointed if they found out, but I have to tell them. I hate keeping stuff from them.

I've decided I'm going to tell them. I just don't know how, or what to expect. So I guess I'm looking for advice on how to break it to them, and if anybody has done it before...how'd it go?

To like clear it up, I don't have a emotional relationship w/ my parents so that I could talk to them openly. This is huge for me...and they also see me as their golden child, which makes it even harder to dissapoint them...

there are some things, believe it or not, your parents do not want to know.

Why do you feel the need to tell them something useless? All that would do is tell them something that would otherwise not affect them.

So what's the need to tell? Your a adult.
