Last night, I was babysitting my friend's little girl. She'll be like 8 months, tomorrow. I was on the phone with my boyfriend while I fed her a bottle. She kept falling asleep, so I nudged her a little bit so she could finish the bottle. Then, as I was burping her, she fell asleep right on my shoulder. I wasn't sure if I should keep burping her and change her, or just put her to bed. So, I talked to my boyfriend about what he thought, and I decided to just put her in her crib. Then, as I was talking to my boyfriend, he mentioned something about being happy that he doesn't have to sleep like that, so I woke her up to change her diaper. She screamed for so long, and I felt so bad. Then, all she wanted to do was play. Last time I take advice from my boyfriend....

It's usually best to let babies sleep unless the diaper is poopy. It won't hurt them to sleep in a wet diaper if they're already nodding off.
