Plus it varies by country so what they use over here might not be the standard over there. Perhaps hydrocodone, or something similar like hydromorphone (though that seems quite strong for your type of surgery). Again the length of the prescription depends on your surgery and how much residual pain you feel afterwards. As for getting rid of the pain, it should work, though if you're having problems you can always talk to your doctor and get it changed for something else. It's best to talk to your doctor about things like these. It also depends on what kind of Surgery you have and how long it will take for you to recover. And whatever painkillers they give you it's not gunnah be Cocaine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They gave me some Vicodin and sent me on my way.
