can anyone think of a way i could test the theory the way a piece of theatre is received depends greatly on the audience viewing it i was thinking creating a simply piece, then showing it to like kindergarten kids and yr 13 kids and test reactions any more ideas?

Invisible Theatre. Developed by Augusto Boal, it involves a rehearsed scenario performed in front of an unsuspecting audience for example, random passers-by.

it's more than just age groups that are important. find a group of people who are familiar with the subject matter or to whom the matter relates, then perform the same piece for people whome the matter does not affect or relate to at all.
