...but it is nothing that I wanted to do, and it's not in my field. I am graduating this month with a Bachelors Degree in Anthropology/Sociology and I got a job at DirectTV being a dispatcher, the pay is crappy, the hours are crappy, the job sounds crappy... but it's a job...

Go to your school's counselor or somthing... don't they try to find you jobs?

What type of a job did you expect to do with that degree anyway? Sounds like you just had non-realistic expectations. :/

i tried to, they told me where to find jobs, but that was about it.

gain the experience to improve your resume then you can move on from there

Work at that job to make ends meed. I would always continue to actively search for the job you want. Its all to easy 6 months from now to feel comfortable with this job and forget and let your real dream slide away.
