All my years of school before now, not including elementry Ive had a crush. It wasn't until the girl I crushed on since 7th grade told me last year that she didn't like me that I haven't had a new crush. Its wierd and with all of my new classes this year there isn't one that sparks my intrest. I have been told by her, and my psychaitrist to put myself out there and someone would find intrest in me. The make it seem like its immpossible for it not to happen. And of a year of talking to people in class(may not sound like much but I used to not talk to anyone) and opening up to people and nothing. Hell I haven't even made a new friend, let alone got a girl to like me.

I don't understand why it is a one way street, I put myself in uncomfortable situations(I have a fear of judgement) talking and socializing with people and have gotten nothing in return. Yet most of my friends, and even my old crush do the same and get places.

What am I doing wrong?! I don't want this to ruin my Senior year. I wouldn't mind having a girlfriend at least once before I go to college.

try talking to girls?

You're not doing anything wrong.
You live in Iowa, dear.  There's nothing there.

It'll be easier once you get to college.  More people, more opportunities to meet new people and spark new interest.

try talking to girls?
I do. They either end up taken, or try to leave the conversation early to talk to their friends.

I'll be going to college in Iowa if I can make it. I don't have that much money.

O.o
Good luck, there.
At least the college might have slightly more people than your highschool.

Look hot, so they will come to you.

That sounds a lot like me the last two years. Especially last year, my Senior year, I tried opening up to girls, trying to talk to them, but as my luck had it, they all ended up being taken. So I basically ended high school without ever having a girlfriend. I'm trying to change it now in college, but now, my problem's trying to read girls. lol

Dude, you might be better off waiting for college. I mean, you can still try, no doubt, just you might have better luck with the abundance of girls in college.

Girls tend to only talk to attractive guys. I don't understand it either. Unless your one of their good friends, then attractiveness is a must.

Just keep trying to talk to her. Don't over-talk to her. And do not stalk her.

Not necessairily, there are girls who I find cute, who have average or even worse looking boyfriends or fuck buddies.
