Is a relationship where the girl and guy never arguer or fight much a sign of a relationship where both have learned to compromise fairly well. is this the building blocks of a nice long relationship

no. arguing/fighting is good. i've learned this cauz i've been with several passive girls, and, we've never fought, but, some shit probably should've been said instead of repressing it.

fighting/arguing can be good or bad
goo because instead of things that need to be said being kept quiet, they are put out in the open
but bad because it can be quite damaging and puts a strain on the relationship

A relationship without arguing/fighting is usually bound to fail.  It is good for a relationship.

You can express your feelings without a slanging match, without screaming and shouting at each other.
Me and my partner are very open and honest, we've had the odd cross-word but its never even started to turn into anything more.

Maybe it depends on personality, we're not argumentitive, pretty passive, we wouldnt scream or shout in anyones face let alone the person who means the most to us...

Yes, you can, but you still need a little bit of arguing in a healthy relationship.
My partner and I are very open, and honest.  We still argue.  It is healthy in a relationship.
You don't have to get into a screaming match for something to be a fight.  That is where most kids mess up their thinking.  arguments and fights don't always, nor do they have to include screaming.
My ex and I did not argue, we never fought, and guess what.  When the relationship ended we figured out that it was the problem.  We never got into any fights.  We didn't know the others tempers.  We didn't know the breaking points.  We didn't completely know each other.  We seriously never even had a disagreement.

glory you have point there my ex didn't let me know certain temperments, thus she got hurt. we broke up 2 yr ago but over the past 3 months all we did was fight and argue she said she hated it. but idk

but still u dont need a fight or arguement to get feelings acrossed. theresletters, emails or just saying calmly 'don't do that please'
. too bad it wasn't all the way like that

Arguing and fighting is part of being in a relationship. If you don't argue or fight then you and your loved one arent' showing how you feel towards each other.

There are other ways though to let your significant other know how you feel. You can just say it to him/her. You can write letters. Those are two ways that you can use other then fighting.

If you are going to argue and fight make sure you know what your going to say before you do so. You don't want to end up saying the wrong thing. That can end up in a bigger fight, which will then end up in someone leaving.
