The couple replaced the eggs with stones to conceal their theft and have found themselves excluded from their group as a result. Zoo keepers have moved the male birds away from the rest of the penguins to avoid problems as hatching season approaches. "One of the responsibilities of being a male adult is looking after the eggs. Despite this being a biological impossibility for this couple, the natural desire is still there," a keeper told the Austrian Times newspaper. "It's not discrimination.
