if added to my daily activities (school *gym stairs and walking* and work *LOTS of stairs and some jogging), is 20 minutes of strict aerobic excersize enough if I want to lose weight/get healthier? do I need to do it for longer?

that would depend on what you eat and your weight

Depends on what else you are trying to do... if you are eating Big Macs for every meal... 20 minutes probably isn't gonna cut it.

You need to eat right and look after yourself sleep right etc losing weight isn't a quick or one thing fix

well i've also went on a diet- it's really hard because theres hardly any time in my schedule so buying and preparing healthy meals can be expensive and time-consuming, so i usually eat whatever the family is having. However I'm half-sizing portions, and eating salads for lunch and always eating a full breakfast. i am pretty overweight right now, I weigh 153 and I'm 5'4". I'm not crazy overweight (I have always had huge boobs so extra weight doesn't look super bad) but i really don't want to get any bigger...

well obviously the more exercise the better, but I think it should be atleast 30 mins.

Getting the body you want is a job in its self, your daily routine of walking to school, walking up lots of stairs ect.. just wont cut it. To see results you need to really set the time and effort to do it. 1 hour min 4 days a week cardio and weights combined with a healthy diet of small meals broken down 4-5 times a day. Do you see where I'm going with this? You have to dedicate your self and make the time to see the results.

It's okay, but eventually, you will have to bump it up. It's not just the exercise, it's getting your heart rate up there. You must also make sure you eat healthy, too! Because if you don't watch what you eat, you will naturally eat more to make up for calories burned... and won't lose shit.
