Yes, its fucking hard, and most people would have one hell of a hard time without lessons. However, there are some brilliant musicians out there who just... manage somehow. Is that a rare thing to find? Yeah. Is it possible? Yeah. Anyway, you're fricking lucky. Violins are expensive. I would love to learn, but to have time/ pay for lessons (my aunt told me shed lend me her violin, so I wouldnt have to buy my own), is just not worth it at this point in my life. I would love to be given that kind of gift, though >.<
