How can someone eat 3 meals a day and include all the food groups and till loose weight???? I don't see how that's possible. I eat 1 meal a day and some fruit if I get hungry. If your not hungry, your not suppose to eat!! OMG my parents get on my last nerves. And I don't want to hear that, "Oh there just doing this because they love and care about you." I'm ticked right now, and tha'ts all I've heard so far. I know they care about me, but I mean they should just back off!!

I know how you feel. =/ My mum is always nagging for me to eat more. But I'm never that hungry but she just doesn't seem to get that. Meh.

Eat 6 times a day (small meals). This will stimulate your metabolism to be constantly burning. Make sure you get lots of water and some exercise and you'll be good to go!

you're supposed to eat even when you're not really hungry, just not pig out every time you eat...stops your metabolism fluctuating throughout the day and whatnot...

You're suppose to eat more then 3 times a day, somewhere around 6. Three meals, and three snacks between meals. You're body never knows when it's going to get food, so it stores fat. But if you eat constantly (6 healthy meals/snacks) and work out, your body knows it's getting food, and doesn't have to store anything. So you loose weight.

3 meals is nothing, i dont know how people can eat so little. I eat 5-6 meals a day sometimes up to 8. You will be amazes how much more energy you have. The meals dont have to be big ones, just 3 big ones and light snacks in between, and you CAN actually maintain/lose weight this way as your body does not need to store much fat as you are getting regular energy

Someone was telling me that eating 3 meals a day is necessary for losing weight, if you eat too little it doesn't help, and too much of course doesn't help. I can't back it up or go into detail 'cause I don't remember any of it :(

agreed, the less you eat, the more weight you'll find you put on, as your digestive system will become more efficient with regards to absorbing sugars and fats to be able to fuel you for when you aren't eating...

I don't really get it from my parents anymore because I've learnt my ways around them. But I totally get the anger coming from the little comments about skipping a meal. I don't get how people could eat 2000cals EVERY DAY?! I mean I eat like 200 a day and still manage to gain ffs. Well few I'm glad I got my vent then haha. Good luck x

Generally, the more meals someone eats in a day, the smaller each meal is. So people who eat three meals eat less in each meal than those who eat one or two. That said, people have incredibly different metabolisms, so comparing to other people might not work out.

As others have said you will loose weight faster if you eat more meals, not less. You obviously do not know very much about nutrition. Please go and learn about it. bodybuilding.com has some good articles on nutrition and weight loss.
