It's nothing like High School.

I don't even party here. It's all "serious," and yet, I STILL HAVE TO PETITION TO STAY HERE NEXT SEMESTER.

High schoolers be warned. Don't take five 4 credit classes your freshman year.

/rant.

I kinda dislike it. My friend has a car, and as far as my mom knows, I have a 3 hour class in the afternoon. So we drive anywhere pretty much. WE go to teh park and stuff. The party thing may not be all that true, but at least you get a little bit of more freedom.

I can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not.

It's not one of those party schools. Weekends are dead here. That's what I mean by "serious."

-- Posted by Discordany at 9:19 pm on Dec. 3, 2008

What exactly does a 4 credit course consist of?

Here, the standard is 3 credit or 6 credit, so I dont know if this is something new, or just a different way of doing things.

20 credits are you insane?

i took 26 credit hrs my first semester, and had a job and still kept a 3.9 gpa for that semester, if you have good time management skills you can pull it off easily

My school was like that, Vincennes University, most people go away on the weekends to other colleges, Indiana University and Purdue as wall as Depaul are all pretty close and had really good parties

-- Posted by brdwaybeauty at 1:37 pm on Dec. 4, 2008

the biggest hurdle is getting through your first year of GE's after you get all that borign stuff over with you'll learn that college is actualy pretty enjoyable

-- Posted by and one at 9:43 pm on Dec. 4, 2008

I'm taking 18 and it's preeeetty rough at times too. Plus my school isn't exactly lively on weekends but I'm close enough to the city that it's alright.
