become spoiled is correct.

I have this theory people raised with no money might be more likely to develop a mindset of "you can't relax until you get the chance, and when you do, enjoy it. Work because you have to." Then they grow up with more than they had as kids (the standard of living goes steadily up by generation, after all) and be less inclined to work, because they've done what's required of them.

People raised with a lot of things who are taught to work anyway might be more like, "I have all that I need, but I still need to get work done. I clearly don't have to work, but I will anyway."

People seem to make the "they'll be spoiled" assumption based on the idea that the kid will grow up to have less than he can have as a child, when it's pretty much always the opposite.

Just my thoughts.

well most children who are raised in a "wealthy family" don't have to work but I will give you that there are a few people that do

That's my point, they're taught to work even when they don't HAVE to.

But the majority of them do become spoiled.. as they don't have to work and their parents don't make them find a job

How do you know?

Are you spoiled because you were raised on 10 times what the average family in 1900 had?
