My boyfriend is the love of my life, and I'm the same for him, but sometimes I have the bad feeling that it could possibly head for a downfall because I'm a Presbyterian whereas he's Atheist.

I have no problem with his beliefs, or lack of rather, and he has no problem with mine. My worry is that we'll just bump heads continuously due to that difference.

Anyone else in this situation?
Who has any ideas?

Just discuss!

If you have no problems with each other's beliefs when why the fuck would you 'bump heads'

I think you'll be fine if you don't try and put each-other's religions into your lives.

I dont think religion should be a barrier between peoples relationships.

Me.  I'm Lutheran, my boyfriend is atheist-agnostic.  It works.

If you have no problem with him believing something different than you, and vice versa, there is no reason you should bump heads. As long as you're both open to the other's religion (or lack thereof), then you should be fine.

As said above there shouldn't be any problem as long as you can agree to keep religion out of everyday situations. Now, if you start to get serious and talk about marriage in a few years the difference could become more important. If you had kids you would have to decide whether you would let them choose or bring them up as Presbyterian.
