Is it realistic for me to dream? What kinds of people have you seen be accepted there? Ok, I got a 2230 on SAT's. (SAT Subject Tests: 750, 740, and taking one more in two days.) I get A's and one or two B's each term, but those are in AP courses. I took four AP courses last year, my junior year, and am taking four this year. I'm editor-in-chief of the paper, have played tennis for four years, have good recs/essays. NORTHWESTERN <3

your scores are really good, just apply and see what they say.

2230 on the SATS? Is that even possible? I thought the highest was an 1800 or something...

Wow, you sound just my friend who is dying to go there. Except he gets all A's and I think all of his classes except Newspaper are AP.

2400 under the new scoring system. They added a section.

Yeah, you should. But make sure you have something that sets you apart from everyone else. My sister's best friend had perfect grades, perfect scores, and did loads of community service. But she lost to her dream school, Yale. Brown turned her down too.

That's really good. I don't think you have anything to worry about. And I understand what you're going through. I want to go to a fairly prestigious school (not Northwestern though) more than anything else in the world, and I'm terrified that I won't get in. Haha. Just breathe and try to relax and do the best you can.

Sounds like your set for it.

Oh man, I used to want to go there too. I realized that it wasn't the school for me, but I really hope you get in. It's a tough school, but it sounds like you've got stellar scores and as long as your GPA is decent, then I'd say you've got a fighting chance. Just let your enthusiasm shine through in your essay. Good luck!

I don't think it's much of a dream, but your scores are in the right places. Now it all comes down to your interview, which is more important than people stress (while scores are less important). You should be fine, except for college overfilling (the class applying right now is the largest ever) and grade inflation (hopefully compensating by less of an emphasis on grades, which is good because they don't represent much of anything anyway.
