ok, so I'm super dumb, when you have a negitive in a square root thingy, what do you do? I keep getting the wrong answers and my teacher won't help me. please help.

isnt that when you use the 'i' thing?

you cant have the square root of a negative.

Negative square roots are impossible. You say: No solution. :D

well either a. you take out i (for imaginary number) which makes the number inside positive and continue from there or b. you dont have an answer....impossible/ N/A would probably be the best options there

you have to change the equation around so that the negative is outside of the square root, and you have to do this other shittt too

there's no solution if you're only using real numbers if you're using imaginary numbers then it uses i ex. square root of -4 = 2i

you make it i root w/e the number that was negetive for istance if it was root -16 i would be i X root 16

not if you take out i but yeah your answer is right if youre not using imaginary numbers

ok...if you have like [-4 u take out the negative by making it i[4........so you just take the negative away but multiply it by and "i".....so i[4 = 2i since the square root of 4 is two
