Honestly, zero tolerance doesn't work, the only real ultimatum that can be delivered is that ultimatums don't work.

Am I the only person who thinks if the system instead focused on making people do things responsibly and not doing stupid things/ODing, then drug use might actually go down because it was legal now and if not that, then the rate of people who made mistakes while on a drug that were extremely bad be reduced? In other words, instead of telling teens they can't drink, tell them if they do drink, make sure to know your limit, make sure you have a ride, don't drive, and sleep face down.

I think it's idiotic how in Health they don't mention any of that because it would be encouraging it.

They are encouraging harm by not educating people on doing drugs responsibly. They know their policies don't work. Why not just teach people how to do it the safest way possible?

Agreed.

People will always be pushing boundaries. It would most definitely be better if the limits were broadened a tiny, tiny bit, to leave room for safe experimentation.

If it was legalized, a main point to make should be regulation/recreational use only.
I think only weed should be legalized.

I don't support drug use in any way, but it would be safer if it was legal and regulated by companies instead of backdoor dealers.

Exactly. Zero tolerance just opens the door to even more risk.

I agree. The more you tell someone to not do something the more theyre going to do it.
