Barack Obama's chief of staff Rahm Emanuel is facing questions about talks he had with the Illinois Governor about filling the US president-elect's vacant Senate seat. Governor Rod Blagojevich is facing impeachment proceedings over claims he tried to sell Mr Obama's seat to the highest bidder. The Chicago Tribune is reporting that conversations between Mr Blagojevich and Mr Emanuel were captured on court-approved wiretaps.
