I'm 18 now. But not much has changed. I'm going to a 5 year private school. See, my parents are taking out the loan for it. (my mom has great credit) and they are letting me live here. if I say goodbye to their crazy rules, they say goodbye to my college loan and free living space. i'm not sure how to break away from them if I'm still dependent on them for so much! and yes i have a job, but theres no way it can even cover the cost of going to school, no matter how much I work!

I've tried. either way, I'm forced to be on birth control. not allowed to get my liscence. not allowed to be out after 8 o clock. not allowed to keep the money I make (have to save for college) i could go on...

Wow, that is so bad! Well, your best bet is to take out your own loan and pay for it yourself. You can always defer the payments until after you graduate if you take out a loan at that school. There are always scholarships you can apply for as well, and Independent Living places are all over to help financially as well. Move out, and pay for your own things. That sounds like heaven after having such awful rules.

How desperate are you, are you desperate enough to transfer to a low-cost education and make your way from there? If not, then no solutions =( i'm about to graduate from college (i'm 21) and my parents also control everything about absolutely everything that i do. i'm going to try to move out once i graduate, but this has been my first realistic opportunity to do this without them self-combusting
