I can only assume its because some people say it is hideous. Kudos to Ford for not making a crossover that looks like every other fucking fat ass crossover on the market. It looks different, its a love it or hate it design. In addition to the looks its also innovative, the safest crossover money can buy, and its build quality is on-par with the best. But you should know that Americas distaste for shifting gears is high, so having manual available on most of there cars isn't going to get them much profit. Fusion comes with a six speed manual or six speed automatic. The manual is only available on the bargain-basement four cylinder S. The six speed automatics are standard on all other models, engines, and AWD equipped cars. In my opinion that is the smarter move. Say you are one of the few Americans who require a manual, you sure as fuck aren't going to be buying a GM or Toyota product. Ford offers an engine and transmission for, literally, everyone.
