Has anyone else switched from a lower dosage to something a bit higher?  Any significant changes or side effects? -- Posted by cowgirlyehaa at 5:09 pm on Dec. 18, 2008 Im not on birth control, but try yaz -- Posted by 2kewl4u2know at 5:15 pm on Dec. 18, 2008 Switching to a higher dose actually worked for me.  When I originally went on the pill, my doctor put me on Loestrin because she said it was light and she preferred starting girls my size on smaller doses.  However, that didn't work.  So she switched me again to a slightly higher dose with Portia, but that still didn't work, and even made my symptoms worse.  Then, I went to the family doctor, and he put me on a higher dose of BC (Kelnor) and it's working for me quite well.
